First week of classes is done. Textbook list, campus map, six syllabi, and a schedule you already want to change. You've earned a Saturday.

DJ Mark Ocheda and DJ Karlo Aquino take over Kinshi Rinji — R&B out front, house and EDM behind it. Slow jams into two-steps into whatever keeps the floor going, all night, two DJs trading the booth.

Built for R&B

R&B is the one genre that does both halves of a night. Early, it's the room-warmer — smooth, familiar, the songs everyone already knows the words to. Late, it's the reason nobody sits down. Mark and Karlo run it as the spine of the set and let house and EDM lift it when the floor asks for more.

If your playlist lives somewhere between 2000s throwbacks and whatever dropped last month, this is your room.

• All ages. First-years welcome. You don't need to be 18 to get in and dance.
• Doors at 7. Start early, still make your Sunday.
• Old Strathcona, just off Whyte Ave — close to campus, easy to get home from.

Bring your floor. Roommates, your whole res wing, the people from your first lab section whose names you're still learning. It's a better icebreaker than anything orientation gave you.
